Online Tutorials

Abstract

Students have the opportunity to practice a virtual video interview and to receive written feedback about their performance. The online tutorial is available on-demand throughout the year.

Learning Objectives

Thanks to written feedback about their performance during a virtual mock interview, students should better understand what they are doing well and where and how they need to improve their interviewing skills. They also better understand why recruiters are asking certain questions and learn different strategies to answer them. In addition they can make first experience with video interviewing, which is part of the recruitment process of many companies. The online tool allows that they can also see and observe their own behavior and appearance.

Content

The student logs into our video training platform. He/she proceeds to answer up to 11 pre-recorded interview questions using his/her computer video. This may take up to 40-60 minutes, depending on how many times the student re-records his/her answer. When the student is satisfied with his/her recording, they submit it to us. We then view the recording and give written feedback to each question. Additionally, we explain to the student why recruiters ask each question and give strategies to answer them. After we have written up the feedback, we send it to the student (via the platform). The student receives a message that he/she can now view the feedback.
