Abstract

During this presentation, students learn to optimize their entry onto the job market and learn how to make this ritual of passage a rewarding life experience. This session is offered on an annual basis. 

Learning Objectives

At the end of this presentation, students will have learned about usual misconceptions around the job search; the difference between proactive and reactive job search strategies; when and how to use different job search tools; how to best prepare for and manage their job search, what realistic results to expect.

  • The career management cycle
  • Reactive vs/ proactive search strategies
  • Common job search misconceptions
  • Ways to stay motivated
