Abstract
During this 4-hour workshop, students learn about different personality styles and how their own preferred style can influcence their career choices and how they manage their careers.Learning Objectives
Students learn about the MBTI personality model and their own preferred style. They learn the pros and cons of each style and in which situations each style can be helpful. They learn that every person has a preferred style, and that everybody can develop the skills to use each of the styles. They learn how to best interact with other styles.Content
Prior to the workshop, students are asked to self-administer the 16 Personalities questionnaire and to send their results to the facilitator. During the 4-hour workshopk, after a short introduction to personality and how it impacts career management, the ETH CC coaches explore each dimension of personality in depth, using exercises, examples and stories. Students are asked to review (in peer diads) how their personality has impacted their career path/choices so far and what this could mean for their futher career developemnt. At the end, participants are divided into peer coaching groups and asked to complete a personal development plan.Location
