Abstract
Selected students have the opportunity to meet top employers for an informal lunch (virtually or in-person), getting an authentic insight into a chosen company.Learning Objectives
After participating in one of these lunches, students should have a better understanding of the culture, functions/roles, recruitment process (required skills, etc) of a specific hiring company. Additionally, thanks to the networking opportunity created by these events, students will have practiced their self-presentation and communication skills and gauge their impact on a future potential employer.Content
First students browse through the company profiles listed on the Company Career Lunch website; they can filter according to their area, and refine their preferences by job field or industry. Then the student can easily apply for a lunch by providing their LinkedIn profile. The hosting company then receives the application and proceeds with sifting and selecting. If the student is selected, he/she is invited for an informal lunch meeting with the chosen company - with an employee from the background he/she selected. The student is either alone during the lunch or together with other students, depending on company's preference.
