Abstract

In academia we have to navigate through difficult and sensitive topics and communicate them with supervisors, colleagues, students, and collaborators on a daily basis. The skills needed to make our ideas and issues heard and acknowledged by another researcher can be learned and improved. This doesn't only depend on our presentation styles% of equal importance in decreasing frustration and increasing productivity is our effective and diplomatic interpersonal interaction.

Learning Objectives

  • Learn to understand and use the dynamics between two people and to navigate through conflict by using diplomacy.
  • Learn strategies to alter other people’s perception of you through movement, posture, mind and speech.
  • Learn when to hold your point, when to compromise, when to let things go and when to find a genuinely collaborative solution.

Content
