Study Abroad Fair

Abstract

Students who are interested in studying abroad or at another Swiss university for a semester can seek advice from former exchange students as well as the Student Exchange Office.

Learning objectives

For students who are interested in studying abroad:

• Learning about the possibilities and types of student mobility
• Learning about the process and prerequisites of an exchange semester
• Recognizing which information you need to decide for or against studying abroad or to choose a partner university, and obtaining that information
• Making decisions for your studies and for your academic and professional future
• Approaching other students, asking questions, networking
• Communicating across cultures and in multiple languages

For former and current exchange students:

• Reflecting upon and sharing your experiences
• Approaching other students, being approachable, networking skills
• Communicating across cultures and in multiple languages

Content

At this information fair, former exchange students answer questions about their studies abroad. The people are grouped according to the region or country in which their exchange took place. Some students from abroad who are currently on exchange at ETH Zurich are also there. Students who are interested in studying abroad can thus benefit form the exerperience of other students.The Outgoing team of the Student Exchange Office is on site to answer general questions about studying abroad. A week before the in-person event, an online info session takes place in which the application process and the prerequisites (among others) are explained.
