Abstract
This course imparts a variety of teaching skills which will help Doctoral Teaching Assistants with their teaching tasks.

At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Plan teaching sequences according to learning objectives
- Engage students in relevant learning activities
- Use feedback effectively to guide learning processes
- Lead a group by defining conditions which encourage active student engagement

This programme is designed for ETH Doctoral Teaching Assistants with current teaching responsibilities (exercises, excursions, supervision of practicals, lectures, etc.) or those who will assume teaching tasks in the semester following the programme. No previous teacher training is required.
We will meet for a short online kick-off meeting on 26 September. You will get detailed information together with the invitation email in the first week of the semester. The online phase, where you work through 6 modules in the Moodle course page will end in November where we will meet for a face-to-face consolidation workshop.The dates for the mandatory in-person consolidation workshops in November are:
- Monday 17.11 (morning),
- Monday 17.11 (afternoon)
- Wednesday 19.11 (morning).
- Alternative: online consolidation workshop on Thursday 20.11 (morning).
You need to register for one of the workshops in Moodle (during the semester).
