Abstract
Are you looking for creative ways to communicate your research? Learn how to find metaphors and narratives to create analog and digital interactives for the public. This practice-based course involves creating working prototypes or models of your activity in our makerspace and requires some individual work in between course dates.

Content
Module 1
- Cultural context and societal relevance of creative science communication
- How to engage your audience – Creating a mind-map of tools and methods
- Sharing outreach experience, e.g., collaborations with artists, designing interactives for science fairs and scientainment activities in museums
Module 2
- Developing an engaging story about your research
- Storyboard : adding visual and aesthetic metaphors
- 3D Prototyping / Sketching out interactive idea either analog or digital
Module 3
- Presentation of prototype and feedback in plenum
- Refining of prototype and developing further ideas
- Discussion and literature of best practice in creative science communication
