Abstract

The Makerspace at the ETH Student Project House is a workshop for students. By taking on the role of voluntary Makerspace Managers, ETH students can train and support other students in working on their projects and perform prototyping. The available infrastructure includes 48 3D printers, 6 laser cutters, water jet, CNC mill and many more machines.

Learning Objectives

• Develop understanding and gain practical experience in prototyping materials, machines and equipment;

• being able to apply technical knowledge to advise and support other students' prototyping work comfortably and in the respect of safety rules and guidelines;

• being able to communicate to and guide an interdisciplinary and diverse group of users professionally and with good customer-orientation

Content

Give all students access to prototyping equipment, strengthen interdisciplinary idea exchange and support student projects.
