Abstract

Every semester the ETH Career Center organizes the ETH Career Weeks during which you can explore your future career options outside of academia by participating in panel discussions, presentations, workshops and events with hiring partner firms. The Career Weeks usually take place during the 3rd and 4th week of the semester.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the Career Weeks, participants will have:
- learned about different industry sectors and potential employers
- been able to network with representatives of potential employers
- gained knowledge and skills on how to manage their careers
- gained knowledge and skills on how to manage their application process

Content

Topics that are discussed are related to career management:

- How to write a relevant CV
- How does company x/y hire and interview
- Research in industry or in academia
- Interview dos and don’ts
- Introduction to the Swiss job market
- Job search strategies
- etc.
