Abstract

During this interactive presentation, facilitators bring input in order to challenge students’ current mindset towards networking.

Learning Objectives

Students learn about the following topics:

  • Why do we feel so uncomfortable with networking?
  • Why is networking important?
  • Are extraverts better networkers than introverts are?
  • Networking for people who hate networking – a new definition of networking
  • (optional) Informational Interviewing

Content

During this presentation, students listen to ETH CC facilitators presenting information on the learning topics. They can ask questions either during the presentation or at the end during the Q&A. The interactive part consists of polls, questions to the audience as well as short exercises in the plenum.
