Abstract

Students have the opportunity to watch a film produced by the ETH Career Center and in which animated characters ask the most common questions that students have around the design of their CV. This session is offered on an annual basis.

Learning Objectives

The audience views and reflects on different scenes from the video so that they can become familiar with and learn about the topics below. Additionally, they are equipped to improve their CV if relevant.

  • How to structure a typical CV
  • Required sections for the Swiss job market
  • Certain Do’s and Don’ts to CV writing

Content

The ETH Career Center facilitators introduce a video made by the ETH CC, and in which two students in comic format reflect and ask questions about their CV. The facilitators stop the video after each question/section and have the audience reflect on what they just saw. For each section/question, the facilitators also give tips and tricks. At the end of the video, the audience can ask questions. Ideally, the participants have their CV open on their computers and can make changes to the CV as the presentor speaks.
