Abstract
Students receive tips in order to be well prepared and able to impress their dream-employer during a job fair. This session is offered on an annual basis.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, students know how their expectations towards a career fair can be different to those of visiting firms; which six steps are important to take in order to be well prepared and able to impress their dream-employer during a job fair (Plan your route, Do your research, Prepare your materials, Perfect your pitch, Prepare your questions, Follow-up); what first impressions are and how to manage them during the fair.Content
Topics include:
- Expectations
- student vs/ employers
- 6 steps to preparing for a job fair
- Managing first impressions
Ideally, students have an electronic or printed version of the relevant job fair guide with them so that they can immediately apply the learnings given to them by the presenters.
