Design your academic career

Abstract

In this workshop you will apply design thinking to your career and life beyond work. Together with other postdocs and established researchers, you develop a constructive and effective approach to finding and designing your vocation at the University or elsewhere by developing new thinking patterns and working on your future ideas.

You will

 • understand your needs for a meaninful life

 • Have created many job ideas that match your needs

 • have already taken steps to pursue some of your ideas

 • adopt habits of prototyping and iterating to your vocation and take action instead of over-thinking

Inhalt

You will analyze what brought you where you are today

 • You will define your current career challenges and ideate possible solutions

 • You will break down possible solutions into actionable steps

 • You will apply your learning and ideas by iteratively desgining your way forward to a meaningful life.
