Career Coaching

Abstract

Students, Doctoral Students and Post-docs have the possibility to book an individual counseling session with one of our career advisors. Topics can range from support in decision making, defining or reviewing application strategies, personal assessment, etc.

Learning Objectives

They should have developed their job search skills, have more clarity about their interests/skills/motivation/values and make better informed career decisions. They also better understand why recruiters are asking certain questions and learn different strategies to answer them.

Content

During a coaching session, the coachee meets up with one of our career coaches for about 1h-1h30 hours. Together they define the goal of the session, test assumptions and history, identify options/alternatives and commit to action.

In the teaching staff group only PhDs and Postdocs, who are planning to leave academia.
